  2. Transition metal alkyls and aryls: mechanisms for C-C coupling and C-heteroatom bond formation. (Prof. U. Fekl) October 3 and 10.
  3. Metal-mediated Luminescent Sensors (Prof. D. Song) October 17 and 24.
  4. Recent Developments in Asymmetic Catalysis (Prof. J. Powell) October 31 and November 7.
  5. Combinatorial Materials Chemistry (Prof. G. A. Ozin) November 14 and 21.

Course Evaluation:

1. 1 page abstract + 20 minute seminar on a recent paper that is unrelated to projects of the student's research group (5 + 30%)- November 28, 3-5 pm.

2. Final Exam (65%) December 5, 3-5 pm.
