Finally: As in any physical science, knowledge is cumulative. Thus, for success in this course, we advise you: DO NOT FALL BEHIND. It is not the total time you spend studying that matters, but how you do it. Regular study habits are very important – and if you have not developed them before, we advise you to learn them now! There are academic counselors at the university and in your colleges who can give you advice. Please utilize this valuable resource.

Answering Questions:

To get credit for the assignment, it must be done by the posted due date. For each question, you will be given four tries to answer the question correctly. For each incorrect answer you enter, partial marks will be deducted. Keep in mind that you should work out the problems using a pen and paper. If you get stuck, clicking the hint button will give you a clue. A small percentage of your score will be deducted if you use the hint button, so try the problem without hints first.

Buttons:
? - gives information about the accepted way of entering mathematical expressions
Submit - submits your answer.
Hints - gives clues if you are stuck on how to solve the problem. A small percentage of your score will be deducted if you use the hint button.
My Answers - shows answers you have given to the question
Review Part – review previous parts of the question and hints
Display Math – after you have entered an answer, this button shows the answer in traditional mathematical form.

Not all questions will display all of the buttons. The active buttons are shown in blue and the inactive buttons in gray.
