CHM 317H1 Advanced Instrumental Analysis
Welcome to the course site for CHM 317H1, “Introduction
to Instrumental Methods of Analysis”, the second in a
series of courses covering the science of chemical detection,
identification, and measurement. This course builds on the
principles and practices covered in the
pre-requisite
course, CHM217H1. Students taking CHM317 may also be interested
in the fourth-year analytical courses CHM414, CHM416, and CHM417.

2011-12 Academic Session:
- The holding list for this course will be processed in late October or
early November; an announcement will be posted here when offers are
sent to students on the holding list
- The first lecture will be Monday January 9th 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
- Labs commence the first week of term:
- P0201 will start on Tuesday January 10th 2012 at 9:00 sharp
- P0301 will start on Wednesday January 11th 2012 at 9:00 sharp
- All students must obtain a lab manual from
Chem Club during the end of the Fall semester - please check
the portal course site for an announcement about when you will be able
to do this.

determine which experiments you will be conducting. Note:
all labs start promptly at 9:00 a.m. sharp.
