Welcome to the course site for CHM 317H1, “Introduction to Instrumental Methods of Analysis”, the second in a series of courses covering the science of chemical detection, identification, and measurement. This course builds on the principles and practices covered in the pre-requisite course, CHM217H1

- Lab grades will be distributed via the U of T portal BlackBoard site. You will need to create a valid UtorID if you do not currently have one – please do this before the course commences in January
- Lectures take place every Monday and Wednesday, 2-3, in LM158
- Labs take place on either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, 9-1, in LM6/9
2009-10 Academic Session:
- The first lecture will be Monday Jan. 4th 2010 at 2:00 p.m.
- Please check the portal course page for contact information and announcements
- Labs commence the first week of term on Jan. 4th 2010. As a result, you will need to obtain a lab manual from Chem Club during the end of the Fall semester - please check either this site or the portal course site for an announcement about when you will be able to do this.
- Please check the lab schedule to determine which experiments you will be conducting. All labs start promptly at 9:00 a.m. sharp.
- Please consult the Lab Info page for necessary preparation and information on the lab manual.
