Using and Accessing the Tours

We recommend using Mozilla Firefox Quantum browser to access the tours. Miscorsoft Edge works, but is much slower while Internet Explorer freezes frequently.

If you are accessing the tours using a mobile device, we recomend a landscape (horizontal) orientation of your device.

History

The current version of GTM (3.0) represents the move from Jmol to JSmol and Java is no longer needed to run the tours. It is a legacy Jmol site meaning that the original Java script is translated into HTML code. This translation might take time depending on the complexity of the script to be executed. Thus, some tour views might take longer to load than others (this is particualrly true for those involving animation). We are currently working on fixing this issue.

The GTM versions 2 included move from Chime scripts to Jmol scripts (Ver. 2.0) and replacement of frames with sections (Ver. 2.5).

The GTM version 1 was the originial, Chime-based, website developed by Robert H. Morris and Adrian Lee.
