This tutorial introduces you to the concepts and practises of statistics in Analytical Chemistry, by presenting problems in data analysis and demonstrating the steps to solve them. It is modular, so that you can either start at the beginning and continue sequentially, or skip material you are already familiar with. The tutorial includes the use of Microsoft Excel™ to perform the various operations, and is illustrated with numerous screen captures and problem-solving assignments.

The tutorial begins with an introduction to the use of Microsoft Excel™ to perform statistical analyses. It then covers Basic Statistics, which discusses concepts like mean and standard deviation, but also introduces you to other important statistical concepts. The section on Linear Regression explains the use of calibration curves, and finally, the section on Data Comparison and Evaluation discusses the t-tests and F-tests.

To begin the tutorial, start with the basics of Microsoft Excel™
