Instrumentation:

 

The Laboratory currently has 5 mass spectrometers:


  1. An Agilent 6538 Q-TOF mass spectrometer equipped with an Agilent 1200 HPLC and an ESI ion source. This instrument provides accurate mass determinations, has mass resolving power up to ~40 000 and can perform MS/MS experiments.

  2. An AB Sciex QStarXL mass spectrometer with an Ionics HSID interface, ESI source, MS/MS and accurate mass capabilities. There is an Agilent 1100 capillary HPLC system associated with this instrument.

  3. A JEOL AccuTOF model JMS-T1000LC mass spectrometer equipped with a Direct Analysis in Real Time (DART) ion source. This time-of-flight mass spectrometer has accurate mass capability.

  4. A Sciex API 4000 triple quadrupole mass spectrometer with an ESI source, an Agilent 1100 HPLC and CTC/PAL autosampler. This instrument has MS/MS capability and is ideal for quantitative analysis.

  5. A Waters GC Premier time-of-flight mass spectrometer with EI/CI sources and accurate mass capability.

  6. Bruker Autoflex Speed matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer (MALDI-TOF-MS).
