Mercury 400 spinning issues [solved]

 There is a problem with the spinner control on the Varian Mercury 400. The part is is only about 25 years old...

 The spin detector is working intermittently. We are working on replacing the parts from the spare parts collection.

Update 4 PM: Chemistry electronics shop was closed, but Physics was able to replace the part. The glue holding the spin detector in the upper barrel in will take 24h to cure, so the system will be re-assembled tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. 

Update Tuesday: The spectrometer is back together and is being re-shimmed. It was ready for all users ~ 3 PM.
