Varian Mercury 300 issues

There have been some problems with the Mercury 300:

On Friday, September 18, a brass hose connector came loose, causing incomplete ejection of samples and some broken NMR tubes.

Today, we spent some time looking over the spectrometer. I found a loose solder connection on the proton pre-amplifier. This will be fixed in-house.

Remember, if there are any broken NMR samples on any of the sample changer, stop the robots immediately!

Press the large red stop buttons on the sample changer as soon as possible to prevent further damage. Also alert the NMR staff. Ms Rose Balazs is in the ANALEST facility in the afternoons.
