ARRIVAL AT TORONTO PEARSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Your hotel name and address should be enough for the cabbie to get you where you need to go. Note: reptable taxis charge a flat rate that is dependent upon the distance you are traveling from the airport. Taxi fares will be approx. $45 (CDN).


Aiport Express
You may wish to use this express bus service to take you downtown. Stops are available at many Toronto hotels - the first stop is at the Royal York Hotel, beside Union Station. By TTC (public transit) Current cash fare: $2.50 (exact change).

Note: TTC labour dispute currently ongoing & not yet resolved as of April 6, 2005. Union says strike now will not take place until at least Monday, April 11. So, this should not affect the Symposium.

192 Airport Rocket

Service all day, every day, between Kipling Station and Pearson Airport.
Provides fully-accessible bus service. Buses stop only at Kipling station, Dundas Street & East Mall Crescent, and Terminal 3 (Departures Level), Terminal 2 (Arrivals Level) and Terminal 1 (Ground Level) at Pearson Aiport. Service operates from approximately 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., seven days a week. One-way travel time is approximately 20 minutes. Click here for schedule and detailed pickup location information.

Once on the subway you can easily reach any of the following destinations:
From Kipling Station to:

· Lash Miller Chemical Laboratories

You are heading eastbound on the Bloor/Danforth line. You will need to get off at St. George station. Leave St. George Station through the St. George exit and head south towards Bloor Street. Continue south (past Bloor) on St. George for two blocks until 80 St. George Street (on the corner of Willcox) - YOU ARE AT THE LASH MILLER CHEMICAL LABORATORIES.

· Quality Inn Midtown

You are heading eastbound on the Bloor/Danforth line. You will need to get off at St. George station. Leave St George Station through the St. George exit and head south to Bloor Street. Staying on the north side of Bloor, cross St. George and head west on Bloor until you reach 280 Bloor Street West - YOU ARE AT THE QUALTIY INN MIDTOWN.

· Days Inn

You are heading eastbound on the Bloor/Danforth line. Continue riding on the Bloor/Danforth Line until you reach the Bloor-Yonge Subway station. At this point you will need to transfer to the Yonge-University line, heading southbound until College Station. Get off at College station and exit on Yonge Street. Staying on the east side of Yonge, cross Carlton and head east until you reach 30 Carlton Street - YOU ARE AT THE DAYS INN.

ARRIVAL BY VIA RAIL or GO TRANSIT

You will be arriving at Toronto Union Station. This is the southernmost point on the Yonge/University-Spadina line. To the University or Quality Hotel Midtown: take the University-Spadina Line Northbound to St. George and then follow the above directions. To the Days Inn: take the Yonge Line Northbound to College and then follow the above directions.

ARRIVAL BY GREYHOUND OR COACH CANADA BUS

You will be arriving at the Metro Toronto Coach Terminal at Dundas & Bay.

To the University or Quality Hotel: walk west on Dundas St. to University. Here, you'll find St. Patrick subway station. Take the subway Northbound to St. George station and follow the above directions. Or, turn right (North) on University and walk to College, then left (West) on College to St. George St. Turn right on St. George and you'll see Lash Miller two blocks north. This is about a 15 minute walk.

To Days Inn: walk East on Dundas St. to Yonge. Here, you'll find the Dundas subway station. Either take the Yonge Line subway Northbound one stop to College station and then walk east, as described above, or walk north on Yonge until you get to College/Carleton. This is about a 10 minute walk.

Lash Miller Chemical Laboratories

The Chemistry Building is at 80 St. George St., ~4 blocks south of the St. George exit of the St. George subway station.

The Quality Inn is on Bloor Street, just west of the St. George exit of the St. George subway station.

The Days Inn is on Carleton St. (College turns into Carleton east of Yonge), just 1 block east of the College Subway station on the Yonge line across the street from Maple Leaf Gardens.

Koffler Institute for Pharmacy Management

The Koffler Institute is located at 569 Spadina Avenue, on the east side of the Spadina Circle between College and Harbord.

ForestView Chinese Restaurant

ForestView is at 454 Dundas St. W., on the north side of the street, just east of Spadina Ave.

The most direct route between Lash Miller and Koffler is actually through the alleyway, right past the Grad Pub. Otherwise, use either Bancroft St. to get onto Spadina, and then turn right (North) on Spadina.
