Mont. Tremblant 2015 Ski Trip

This year’s ski trip took place from January 29th – February 1st. Participants enjoyed 3 days of skiing/snowboarding, waking up for first tracks if they were particularly eager. At night, we relaxed in the hotel Le Johannsen in the village, at the amazing La Source pool, or went out dancing at Café D’Époque nightclub.

Chinese Cultural Night – January 23rd, 2015

February 19th is Chinese New Year, transitioning to the Year of the Goat. Traditionally Chinese New Year is celebrated for 15 days, with lion dances, fireworks and lots of red (symbolizing good fortune and joy, and to scare away the mythological Nian).

Halloween Costume and Pumpkin Carving Contests

On October 31st we held our annual Halloween Costume and Pumpkin Carving Contests in the Davenport Atrium.

Caribbean Cultural Night

ChemClub hosted a Caribbean Cultural Night on Friday Oct. 3rd, 2014 in the Davenport Atrium. Undergrads, grad students and post-docs who attended were able to enjoy the taste of authentic Caribbean food such as oxtail and roti from Tasty.
