Nanotechnology Studies

Undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Toronto are trained in nanotechnology across many departments, including: Chemistry, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Institute of Biomaterials and Biomolecular Engineering (IBBME), Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Physics.  For a list of nanotechnology researchers in each department, please see this page.

High school students interested in nanotechnology may wish to explore nanOntario, a youth outreach program facilitated by the Department of Materials Science & Engineering. The nanOntario program aims to educate senior secondary school science students about bio-inspired nanotechnology based on samples found in Ontario’s outdoors.
