Current Teaching:

The majority of the courses I teach have to do with the sub-discipline of analytical chemistry, which is the science of chemical detection, separation, identification, and measurement. These include the 2nd-year Introduction to Analytical Chemistry lectures and labs, as well as the lab component for the 3rd-year Instrumental Analysis course. A complete list of courses taught is available.

I am also currently involved in the Canadian Chemistry Olympiad, a high school chemistry contest for which I run the national on-line preparation program and the Ontario provincial program.

Educational Research:

I am currently involved in a number of educational research projects, primarily focussed on the transition from high school to university chemistry. Details are available on the relevant research pages, while selected articles are included on the publications page.
