Racaille: 30 node alpha cluster

Racaille is composed of:

Two racks containing 15 computational nodes each

5 master nodes, each with 9.5GB SCSI hard drives and CDROMS

3 12-port fast ethernet switches

Each node contains:

1 digitial 21164 600 MHz CPU with 2 MB Cache

256 MB memory

100 Mbit fast ethernet card

ATI Mach64 Xpert XLl PCI 4MB SGram video card

4.5GB 7200 rpm SCSI hard drive

Setup:

Master nodes contain home directories and common software such as MPI libraries and compilers

Home directories NFS mounted across internal, switched network

All nodes are running Redhat 5.2 Linux
