The CENTRE FOR NANOSTRUCTURED POLYMER AND INORGANIC MATERIALS was funded in 2002 by the Canada Foundation of Innovation.
This funding allows a group of researchers from the Departments of Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering (University of Toronto) to acquire infrastructure exceptional by international standards. The infrastructure is having a major impact on our research capabilities as allows us to carry out highly innovative research.
Our research effort encompasses conceptualization, design, synthesis, fabrication, processing and characterization of properties of nano- , meso- and microstructured materials.
The Centre has an education program and extensive collaborations with other academic institutions, national laboratories, and industrial partners.
